This is a place where one probably expects me to tell all about my professional background, education and vital statistics. I understand, We’ve all got used to the concept that the size of the shoe is more telling than where it’s headed. So let’s satisfy it, knowing it is just a formality. My shoe size is 39, my name is Karolina Barwicz, I was born in Warsaw, Poland in September 1980. When I was 17 I fell in love for the first time – deeply and helplessly in love – with the land called Italy, whose magic kept me faithful until today and made me study the Italian language, history and culture at the Warsaw University, then teach there, and finally write a Ph.D in Italian Literature. My doctoral thesis was titled ‘The nostalgia of the Absolute’ as it explored the inherent human need of spirituality still preserved and expressed in the beauty of the rhymes, in spite of the degradation of our language everywhere else. While I researched ‘the sacred’ in Italian poetry I was doing the same in life. For the last sixteen years I have travelled deep within and without, read spiritual scripts and books, attended countless courses, workshops, sessions and classes, learning how to make a change within individuals, groups and organizations, visited psychics, shamans and spiritual teachers from all over the world, trying to remember my soul’s purpose and talents.

Somewhere on my path, many years ago, I was told by a Peruvian Inka shaman, Mallku, that part of my role was to bring back the ancient sacred monuments of the Earth to their rightful places. I did not fully understand what that meant until one summer I found myself on holiday in the Gargano peninsula and felt strongly inspired to do in-depth research in the ancient history of that area and write a novel titled ‘Angels Feet’ that takes you on the spiritual journey, in time and back, to the mysterious sacred grotto, currently Archangel Michael’s Sanctuary, on the mountain top in Monte Sant’Angelo. Today I know that my goal is to sensitize people to the sacred sites. That is why I feel also strongly guided to take spiritual groups to this magical Italian place of power to help re-awaken its full potential at this point in time. At least this is my current understanding, but the true purpose keeps unveiling itself…
